We are looking for engineers within; Frontend web, Frontend mobile, Fullstack web, Fullstack mobile and Backend/API who are early in their career – either fresh graduates or those who have a few years of job experience – and are excited about new technology, innovative ways of working and want to be a part of shaping the future of IKEA!
What you become a part ofYou will be part of a group of new recruits, get trained together to quickly get up to speed and get into your new role. You’ll learn how we do things here at IKEA as well as gaining in-depth knowledge of the company and our digital engineering practices. The program will give you the grounding to develop in your role and future career at IKEA. Beyond the support from the Accelerator Program you will belong to a product team from day one and your time will be divided between engineering work in your team and attending program activities.
Your product team is part of the Customer domain who develop digital solutions for the many people visiting the IKEA stores, IKEA.com and the IKEA App. We use modern technologies and ways of working (e.g. cloud native microservices, CI/CD, Agile, DevOps). We strive to be highly data driven in decision-making and we constantly explore new technologies like machine learning and AR/VR. You will be employed by IKEA IT AB. The program as such will be in Malmö. The role can be based in either our office in Malmö or Helsingborg, Sweden. It is a full-time position. During the pandemic we work remote from home.
You will have the job title Junior Software Engineer.
You will report to one of the Engineering Managers within Customer Domain. You will also be in close contact with a Buddy in the team. Along the way you will also have contact with a Mentor.
You will get trained to quickly get up to speed and get into your new role. You’ll learn how we do things here at IKEA as well as gaining in-depth knowledge of the company and our digital engineering practices. The program will give you the grounding to develop in your role and future career at IKEA.
This year’s Accelerator Program will be focused on people living in Sweden.
